Explore the natural world in your own journal with loupe-looking.
In this workshop, we will combine art and science to zoom in on nature. First we'll make a nature journal and then we'll fill it with observational drawings of collected objects from the natural world. If your library has an outdoor space, I can take a small group outdoors to draw and write in their journals. Otherwise, I will bring in a collection of leaves, seeds, branches and bugs for children to explore. We will be using Private Eye 5x jewelers loupes to study our nature objects close-up.
